In this role, you will serve as a role model, clinical consultant and educator to the Clinical Apheresis staff, provide on-going refresher training, and identify unique/creative ways to assure accessibility and availability of clinical education programs to staff on all shifts and in all areas.
To qualify, you must have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and 5 year’s of apheresis experience, or, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 4 years of apheresis experience. In addition, candidate should have at least 3 years of mentoring/preceptor/teaching clinical apheresis experience, familiarity with blood product administration, and knowledge of FACT and States and FDA Guidelines, as well as regulatory requirements of acute care setting and Multiple Vascular Access (i.e. Central Venous Catheters, AV Fistula, AV Graft, PIV, and implanted Central Venous ports). The ability to create and present professional grade deliverables such as technical architecture documents, technical drawings and presentations will also be expected, as will the ability to understand laboratory protocols and SOPs. Excellent organizational, oral/written communication, analytical, multi-tasking and PC skills essential.
