Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of all Pre-Award Grant proposals and will provide resource guidance for New York Blood Center and all its affiliates; Community Blood Center (CBC), Innovation Blood Resources (IBR) and Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC).

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Provide administrative and technical guidance and support to investigators seeking outside funding for research
  • Researching and interpreting regulations, guidelines and standards while overseeing the process of contracts and grants
  • Preparing budgets, administrative forms and compiling final grant application submissions
  • Loading proposals for submission into grants and other sponsored portals.
  • Aiding investigators and staff in navigating Government systems including eRA commons, grants.gov and MYNCBI
  • Generating subcontract agreements/requisitions while tracking their status and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Performing online research for funding opportunities, grant guidelines, compliance information and any other related topics
  • Working autonomously and communicating effectively with all levels of management

 

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree, along with 3 years of Federal or Corporate grants and contract experience. Strong   working knowledge of governmental grant administration practices and contract tracking systems will be expected, as will proficiency with MS Office and Adobe to create forms, reports and templates. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral/written communication and multi-tasking skills are all essential.
