    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Payroll Manager, backing up and overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, including salary changes, new hire updates and maintenance of the time attendance system, while ensuring all payroll/timekeeping systems are in accordance with applicable guidelines.

     

    Responsibilities include:

     

    • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner and in accordance with DOL guidelines. Validate payroll and employee expense prior to release to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
    • Manage expense reimbursement; Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement.
    • Compile data and prepares bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports and payroll account reconciliations.
    • Ensure payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
    • Support all internal and external audits as related to payroll.
    • Learns all payroll functions to act as a back-up to payroll management.
    • Become proficient in the Payroll system; Helps to identify and implement enhancements, oversee maintenance and train staff.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

     

    Experience: 2-3 years of progressively responsible payroll processing experience, strong leadership skills,

     

    Skills and Abilities: The ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Excellent problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical, PC and decision-making skills will be expected, as will knowledge of payroll/timekeeping systems. Workday experience preferred.
