    As an integral member of our team and reporting to the Senior Manager, General Accounting, you will oversee day-to-day general ledger and accounting operations, as well as financial reporting and analysis of assigned functions.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Participating in all general accounting and month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and financial analysis
    • Providing timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of results
    • Consolidating and analyzing financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, etc.), taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
    • Maintaining and developing various financial models and templates
    • Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
    • Identifying trends, advising company and recommending actions based on sound analysis
    • Researching and resolving issues, responding to inquiries and advising Manager as needed
    • Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
    • Understanding and facilitating the integration of business processes across NYBC and affiliates
    • Identifying and suggesting process improvements and policy development initiatives
    • Handling other related functions as necessary


    To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, 3+ years of general accounting, reporting, consolidation and financial analysis experience, and knowledge of Accounting/GAAP. The ability to create analysis based on a variety of financial information, identify trends, and handle complex problems in a timely manner will be expected, as will knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance and information analysis. Superior organizational, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and PC (MS Suite, including ERP system) skills are all essential. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification preferred.
