    Responsibilities

    In addition to providing area hospitals with blood and blood products, you will select, inspect and pack orders, as well as make deliveries and ensure inventory levels are maintained.

     

    Responsibilities include:

     

    • Sorting and maintaining blood and blood products
    • Monitoring and following protocols on alarm system and all associated SOP’s
    • Maintaining accurate blood supplies and platelet inventories to ensure product availability for area hospital requests
    • Ensuring the timely delivery of blood products
    • Preparing, reviewing and filing all paperwork and reports
    • Identifying, analyzing and resolving problems
    • Making deliveries to all area hospitals
     

    Qualifications

    To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma/GED,  a valid driver’s license, and have the ability  understanding of Standard Operating Procedures as it pertains to product type, blood type, specialty products, distributions, storage requirements and deliveries. The ability to lift boxes which can weigh up to 60lbs will also be expected, as will solid oral/written communication, multitasking, analytical, and time management skills will be expected, as will PC proficiency.
