    Responsibilities

    Successful candidate will ensure compliance to government regulations, policies and procedures by maintaining and assessing documentation of processes, reviewing of data and provision of training to staff on various computerized systems. You will also play an integral role in the education and training on all special collections procedures, as well as the maintenance of ancillary quality control functions in other programs.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing quality control records for collection site activities
    • Auditing collection site documentation for errors and deviations, as well as working with staff to address any/all issues
    • Overseeing daily activities of staff and providing guidance and modeling of appropriate workflow
    • Serving as project lead on NYBC processes while ensuring compliance and documentation procedures are followed on fixed and mobile sites
    • Monitoring collection/donor procedures for compliance of regulations and policy, as well as informing staff of deviations
    • Partnering with other organizational departments to develop project implementation plan on the deployment of new processes, procedures, policies and practices
    • Conducting training sessions on collection activities, policies and procedures, as well as regulatory compliance for staff, and auditing training records to ensure compliance
    • Performing data entry into various systems and running reports based off data
    • Ensuring accuracy and compliance of data
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements
    • Handling special projects and other related functions as necessary

    Qualifications

    To qualify, you must have an Associate’s Degree or higher, along with 3 years’ experience in blood-banking, process and documentation management, or a closely related field. Knowledge of regulatory standards and cGMPs and documentation practices/procedures will be expected, as will the ability to effectively organize job tasks and resources, and handle a variety of complex issues and situations. Superior leadership, decision-making, organizational, PC and oral/written communication skills are all required.
