Perform perioperative cell salvage in the Operating Room setting. Perform other procedures which required manipulation of blood in the perioperative arena, ambulatory surgery arena and dental offices. When on call, this position will cover the entire Long Island region, but the focus will typically be limited to Eastern Long Island. You may have to travel to hospitals throughout the Tri-State area.
Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor degree preferred. Successful completion of NYBC PAT Specialist Program.
Experience: One years of experience in a health related field or closely related field.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to cope with flexible scheduling, expanding geographic territory, and on-call. Must have the ability to work independently and communicate professionally with hospital staff. Ability to be on-call and travel to hospitals throughout service area. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Travel will be in the Lower Hudson Valley such as Lower Westchester, the Bronx and parts of Manhattan.
