    Supporting a team of organizational directors and administrators, you will provide support for a full range of administrative and office activities, and play an integral role in the handling of confidential, diversified and sensitive administrative duties.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing and coordinating the department’s administrative processes by serving as the primary point of administrative contact.
    • Serving as a liaison to other offices, individuals and external constituents and agencies on a range of issues.
    • Organizing and facilitating meetings, conferences and other special events
    • Providing administrative assistance and support to assigned organizational managerial staff.
    • Composing and editing internal/external correspondence and documents.
    • Responding to routine and non-routine inquiries requiring organizational knowledge.
    • Performing routine office administrative functions such as typing, filing, copying, data input and answering phones.
    • Compiling information and preparing moderately complex, special and/or recurring reports with minimal or no direction.
    • Serving as a coordinator for the NYBC Transfusion Medicine Fellowship Program, including scheduling and monitoring of prospective and current fellows.
    • Handling other related administrative tasks as necessary.


    The ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree in Business Administration, Management, or closely related field, along with 3 years’ experience providing administrative support/office management to a large/complex organizational unit. Knowledge of office management, the ability to establish priorities, and PC proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio are all essential. The ability to plan and organize job tasks and resources in an efficient manner will be expected, as will superior problem-solving, decision-making, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
