    Successful candidate will perform bench-top molecular biology and genomics experiments, while helping maintain laboratory supplies and playing an integral role in the maintenance of our mouse colony within the laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Engineering.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Culturing of both human and mouse cells
    • Mouse handling, genotyping and maintenance of mouse colony
    • Maintaining laboratory reagents and supplies
    • Performing genomic analysis, ELISA assays, histology, flow cytometry and other molecular bench work
    • Discussing protocols, experiments and results with PI and other lab members
    • Maintaining laboratory instruments
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements
    • Handling other related tasks as necessary


    Requirements include:

    • Bachelor’s degree (Masters’ preferred) in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physical Sciences
    • At least 1-3 years of mouse handling, mammalian cell culture, and basic molecular biology laboratory technique experience
    • Prior experience handling animals (mice) essential
    • Familiarity with cell culture using sterile techniques, as well as molecular biology techniques including PCR analysis, ELISA and western blotting
    • Working knowledge of quality and safety control standards
    • The ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
    • Superior analytical, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
