    Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking an individual with a working knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping to assist with a variety of daily accounting functions and oversee the maintenance of accurate information within our accounts receivable system.

    Responsibilities will include: 

    • Applying cash to customer accounts
    • Balancing the sub ledger to the trial balance and verifying the daily deposits
    • Entering payments against various customer accounts
    • Performing end of the month reconciliation for the entries for trial balances
    • Contacting customers about short payment or payments in questions
    • Editing and verifying all data entered in the system and bringing duplicate payments to the attention of management
    • Requesting rebills if a discount is taken beyond the terms and arranges for check pick-ups
    • Preparing various reports and lists as needed
    • Making collection calls as needed and recommendations to improve services and processes in the business unit
    • Handling other related functions as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Associate Degree required in related field, Bachelor’s in accounting preferred. 

     

    Experience:

    5 years’ experience in A/R with solid cash application skills. Ability to research and resolve issues and communication effectively with customers.  Experience with Oracle A/R or similar system preferred.
