    Responsibilities

    The Research Assistant will be responsible for performing bench-top molecular biology and genomics experiments. The person will also be responsible for helping to maintain the laboratory supplies and mouse colony in the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Engineering.

    • Culture of human and mouse cells.
    • Mouse handling, genotyping and maintenance of mouse colony.
    • Maintenance of laboratory reagents and supplies.
    • Genomic analysis, ELISA assays, histology, flow cytometry and other molecular bench work
    • Discuss protocols, experiments and results with PI and other lab members. Good communication skills, record maintenance and attention to details.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering or closely related field.  Master’s degree is preferred.

    Experience:

    At least 1-3 years of experience with mouse handling, mammalian cell culture, and basic molecular biology laboratory techniques.
