Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing the daily activities of NMDP and Comprehensive Cell Solutions (CCS) Apheresis Centers.

  • Manages processes for NMDP and CCS donations from volunteer and unrelated donors.
  • Oversees coordination of clinical apheresis staff for timely collections of NMDP and CCS products.
  • Completes, compiles, and analyzes various reports including sponsor reports and ensures timely submission of all documentation.
  • Ensure staff meet study goals/requirements.
  • Assure staff completion and appropriate filing of all study documentation.
  • Maintains AC manual and collection calendar and ensures all policies, guidelines and regulations are followed by Apheresis Center.
  • Mediates problems and issues within service area between volunteers, patient families and staff and ensures that conflicts are heard and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensures apheresis center promotions and materials are used per NMDP and NYBC standards.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for various projects.
  • Makes recommendations to improve business unit operations.
  • Attends meetings as necessary.
  • Participates in continuing education as required.
  • Any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health services administration, health sciences, public administration or public health or related area.

 Experience:

  • Five years of experience in a health-related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a health-related management field.  

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the requirements listed above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $95,000.00 p/yr. to $118,000.00 p/yr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.

 

Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations.
