Responsibilities

The Enterprise Data Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions across enterprise applications and databases. This role focuses on building and optimizing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes using SQL, SSIS, and programming tools, while also performing data migrations and ensuring accuracy and consistency. The engineer will also partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and translate them into effective technical solutions.

 

Locations:

Candidates must be able to report into one of the following NYBCe locations: Rye, New York; Kansas City, Missouri; Lincoln, Nebraska; St. Paul, Minnesota; Providence, Rhode Island, and Newark, Delaware.

 

Hybrid Role in office 3 days/week.

  • Lead the design and development of ETL processes using SQL, SSIS, and other integration platforms.
  • Architect, build, and optimize enterprise data pipelines and workflows for scalability and performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute complex data migrations, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for data integration tools, practices, and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical integration issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective integration solutions.
  • Document integration architectures, data flows, and system designs.
  • Ensure integrations comply with enterprise standards, data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging integration technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute to the development of integration standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives requiring complex data integrations.
  • Participate in strategic planning for data management and integration initiatives
  • Any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data integration, ETL development, or closely related experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ADF (Azure Data Factory), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), or similar ETL platforms.
  • Proven experience in data migrations, data transformations, and data quality validations.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. C#, Python, Powershell, etc.)

Licenses / Certification:

No licenses or certifications required for the position but encouraged.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.

  • Proficiency in SQL development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data mapping, and integration patterns.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $107,000.00p/yr. to $117,000.00p/yr.

 

For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.

 

Position reporting into our Delaware location: $97,000 - $107,000

Positions reporting into our Rhode Island location: $105,000 - $115,000

Positions reporting into our Minnesota location: $105,000 - $115,000

Positions reporting into our Nebraska location: $97,000 - $107,000

Positions reporting into our Missouri location: $97,000 - $107,000
