As the Director of Engineering, you are the senior engineering leader responsible for the execution, delivery, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence of DAPI's engineering organization. Reporting to the VP, Data & AI Product Innovation, you oversee Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Quality Engineering through their respective Lead Engineers.
You are accountable for building and scaling a high-performing engineering organization that delivers secure, reliable, scalable, and high-quality software products, enterprise data platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities that advance NYBCe's strategic objectives. You establish engineering operating models, workforce planning, delivery governance, quality management practices, and cross-functional collaboration frameworks that enable teams to execute effectively at scale.
While Lead Engineers serve as the primary architects within their respective disciplines, the Director of Engineering retains ultimate accountability for engineering architecture, technology strategy, and technical direction across DAPI. The Director ensures architectural decisions align across Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Quality Engineering, AI platforms, and enterprise technology initiatives to create a scalable, secure, and cohesive engineering ecosystem.
